Arrow Sudoku: instructions and practice

Bring your attention to one round of Arrow Sudoku. Solve the Sudoku and make the digits on each arrow path sum to the digit in its circle. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

This collection contains 8 puzzles. Progress is saved in this browser. The same puzzle can appear again; the collection is not labelled with calibrated difficulty levels.

Bring this focus to a round

Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Refer to the controls when needed.

Your goal

Solve the Sudoku and make the digits on each arrow path sum to the digit in its circle. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Review the board or playing area as it changes.

How to proceed

  1. Select an editable cell.
  2. Enter a value using the keypad or keyboard; Notes stores candidates.
  3. Read the region, cage, arrow or outside clues alongside the normal constraints.
  4. Check entries verifies the completed board; Undo reverses your last input.
  5. New puzzle selects another included puzzle.

Your inputs

Click or tap cells and the digit pad. Use Notes, Undo and Reveal selected. Large boards scroll inside the game. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.

See the idea in action

A circle 7 may have an arrow containing 3 and 4 when the normal Sudoku rules also allow it. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Notice the change in the playing area.

Notice this detail

A full board must obey every extra rule. Reveal supplies assistance; it is not an earned deduction. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
