Bubble Shooter: how a round works

Bubble Shooter gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Look at what changes after your first action. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

Practice beyond the first move

Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Make the next step deliberately.

What you need to achieve

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Keep the controls in easy reach.

Making your moves

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Keyboard and screen controls

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.

See how the rules apply

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Consider the next action carefully.

A useful caution

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use.
